Ahhh, peace and quiet. There’s nothing like the great outdoors to get you out of the hustle and bustle of urban life. When it comes to roughin' it, there's no better place to get away from it all then a campground by beautiful Clarks Hill Lake. Wake up to the clean fresh air of a wilderness camp site or enjoy an evening around a crackling campfire.

Raysville Campground - Located on Georgia's Little River section of Clarks Hill Lake, the largest U.S. Corps of Engineers lake east of the Mississippi River. The 70,000 acre lake and its 1,000+ miles of shoreline provide excellent boating, water skiing, swimming, fishing, hiking and picnicking. All electric with 55 sites, each equipped with water/electric hook-ups; campground with two accessible shower/restroom facilities and a boat ramp.

Big Hart Campground - Situated in a wooded area on the waterfront. One group campsite and 31 family campsites are available, all with 50-amp electrical hookups. Amenities include flush and vault toilets, showers, drinking water, a dump station, playground, beach, boat ramp and dock.

McDuffie Public Fishing Area - A 570-acre site characterized by majestic longleaf pines and sandy soil  offering the public a unique and beautiful landscape. Anglers, hunters and nature lovers can all find a place at the McDuffie PFA.

Fisherman can enjoy 7 ponds, varying from 5 to 37 acres, for quality bream, bass and catfish angling.  Three trails offer a variety of geographic characteristics and wildlife to view. Two archery ranges provide practice in both open ground and regular field conditions.  A 12-acre dove field planted with wheat is open to the public on Saturdays during dove season. Several lakes are available for waterfowl hunting during the months of December and January.

Georgia’s Little River Water Trail - An intimate river with a wide array of wildlife and a rich history from gold mines, Quaker settlements  and Native Americans. The trail coasts 20 miles along the McDuffie and Wilkes County lines from the Woodruff Bridge at Highway 80 to Raysville Campground on Clarks Hill Lake.
